Institute for Information Transmission Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Independent University of Moscow organize a conference to honor the 80th anniversary of Prof. Roland L. Dobrushin (1929-1995). The areas of emphasis of the conference correspond to the main areas of Prof. Dobrushin’s academic activities and include


- Probability Theory;
- Information Theory;
- Mathematical Physics;
- Mathematical Linguistics.

During the conference the annual International Dobrushin Prize will be awarded.

The event will be held in the IITP RAS Conference Hall (Bolshoy Karetny per. 19, 6th floor), July 15-20, 2009.
